很多女生都怕蟲，但美國堪薩斯州一名女記者，遇到了更慘的狀況，因為她是在新聞連線的時候，遇上一群趕不走還不斷撲上她的蟬。
美國堪薩斯州記者萊克：「3....啊....好好......，.....我....好...，活動開始於...快停下...啊啊啊...。」
畫面上可以看到有一隻蟬直接停在這名記者的臉上，結果女記者崩潰尖叫，連手中麥克風都摔了下來，這名女記者是在堪薩斯州一處軍事基地進行採訪報導，不料遇上一群蟬不斷騷擾，只要她一說話，蟬就朝她飛撲，導致她的連線一直失誤，事後這名女記者只能安慰自己說，還好只是蟬，不是其他更恐怖的昆蟲。（民視新聞綜合報導）
